I voted other, as I do like the larger bases but I also like the smaller ones ot play other rulesets and the larger bases look odd when marching along roads.
So maybe I should be undecided
I am just starting with Basic Impetus. Most of my miniatures are on DBX bases so will work well in groups of 4 bases to make up a unit. I am thinking of starting a new army in 15mm to play the Italian wars using large bases - ie one 8 cm wide base per unit. The question I have is how many miniatures do people use. I suspect that with one base you may be able to still get a dense effect for FP with less troops than you would need on four smaller bases. Ideas please - especially if it would help me cut costs and reduce painting time and still have a visually pleasing games table!
I use 6cm wide bases for a whole 28mm unit. That's how my figures are based. Sticking four bases together to make a unit is confusing with groups, large units and columns, and I don't wish to rebase. If I decide to go 15mm then I'll probably use official base sizes.
