We were wondering if Impetuous in Basic IMP is only that they have to pursue or do they have to advance?
If so who do they advance against - nearest, most obvious choice etc ?

I have a feeling in Basic they only have to pursue - just that we had a gaul army just standing there tonight which was strange after playing the full version where they have to advance etc

Cheers

Hmm..

I was playing yesterday with Lorenzo (yes, we have the same name) and he confirmed me that in BI, at least with the present version, impetuous troops do not have to make the compulsory advance. This is also correct for army balance, since in BI they "cost" much more than in impetus.

Also, in BI you dont have the multiple move and opportunity options, so it is would be more difficult to cope with the complusory advancement rule..
