Well I think that Impetus/Basic is a set that is mostly appreciated by non competitive gamers, but it works well also for competitions as I have seen here in Italy with the BI National championship.

Well I wonder how many of you are interested in attending competitions for Impetus (or Basic Impetus).

Next year Italy (Rome) will probably host the European Championship. The Italian Federation (mostly former DBM gamers, now divided into FoG supporters and DBMM supporters) could be interested into a Impetus competition. Of course some of the former DBM players see Impetus with suspect.
By September 2009 I can give for sure the attendance of about 16 players (maybe more) from Italy but I wonder how many players form other countries would be interested. Opinions, feedback and suggestion are welcome.
