I havn't played the game yeat but I've read the lists and have a comment to make about the usage of dragoons in the two swedish lists. In "The Army of Gustavus Adolphus" from Osprey you can read the following about the dragoons on page 16:
| Dragoons were usually found in the vanguard, pathfinding and clearing roads, securing bridges, and generally lubricating the motion of the army. In a sense, dragoons were labourers on horseback. They were too busy elsewhere to fight in the formal battles of Breitenfeld and Lützen. |
The performance of the dragoons is, as far as I know, very seldom, if at all, mentioned in the battle descriptions. They did exist in the army but they most probably didn't take part in the big battles in any significant numbers. The Osprey title quoted above is about the early period up until the kings death. I don't have any information about the dragoons in the later period, but my guess is that the usage stayed the same.
What I'd like to say with all this is that the dragoons, in my opinion, shouldn't be represented at all in the Basic Baroque list "EARLY SWEDISH" and also probably not in the "LATER SWEDISH" list.
