Is it possible to post what the bow classifications represent as example weapons. I've sort of worked it out for myself, but would like some confirmation. For example composite bow A I take as a foot bow such as Ottoman Jannisaries would use, composite bow B as the standard mounted bow used by Persians, Turks etc. Simialarly long bow A would appear to be the bow that English longbowmen used.

Thanks, Fred.

classification depend also on the value combined to the VBU, so exception may occour.

Anyway the general rule is
Longbow A - best longbowmen, like 100YW English, WOR retinue, Burgndians
Longbow B - other longbows like Indians or shire levy WOR archers etc
Short Bow A- formed archers
Short Bow B - formed archers of lower quality and S (also including other type of bows in most cases)
Comp Bow A - Formed foot archers
Comp Bow B - Mounted archers or foot archers of lower quality in some cases
Comp Bow C- the category is mainly for Heavy Cavalry with also bow capabilities. Usually CP that rely on charge (but with bow as a secondary weapon or mixed Units...)
Crossbow A and B, same of Short Bow A and B
