 | Later Roman Army: LC Equites Illyricanii weapons? |  |

Hello,
I want to confirm if it is correct that the CL Equiyes Illyricanii have no special weapons equiped. This info is from the PDF that describe this army and referenced as 28 July 2008 by Mike Parson. I am looking for references of the any hint for special weapons and the javelin seems to be the usual one but there are more references that point to a plain troopers type equiped, so this means no special weapon at all. AFAIK, historically the Equites Illyricani were equipped with a javelin/short spear and a sword. I know of no other offensive equipment. |
