I assumed they are like giant kites, they are a "generic" type not a specific actual model so I think you could translate them as you want.
Possibly "velas de cometa"?
The important part of that classification is the difference between floating and flying. These float (low altitude).
I am pleased you are working on a Spanish version, I did start one, but my Spanish is woeful so I gave up on it. I have some friends here (Canarias) who will be very pleased to see it though.
